Magnanimous gesture.  Go Blue!

What a great dude. UM is lucky to have a leader who recognizes how fortunate he is. Though, like us all, JH has shortcomings, he recognizes the richness of his life. EUTM.

Now that's what I call EUTM! Love it.

Good PR just before asking to renegotiate his contract. The going rate for his level of success is 95 million over 10 years.

I think he just virtually extended his contract...he's bulletproof now.

Really a great thing to do, up to nearly $3.5 million. Amazing.

Easy for Shaw to do the same. . . .

RE: Harbaugh gives back - BostonCard - 11-30-2021

The on the field performance is what will get him the big new contract, but this will make it easier for some people, who might otherwise resent the size of the contract, to swallow it.  Still, it is not the first time he’s done something like this, so I doubt the fact that his contract is up for renewal figured into it.

I highly doubt Shaw will be receiving any bonuses for this year's results.

Nice gesture. Go Hawkeyes! Nothin* to do with JH. I root for Iowa always (except the ‘16 RB).  Michigan will slaughter them.  34-10 sounds about right.

I believe his contract was recently renewed, with the base being substantially reduced (from $8 million to $4 million) and the bonuses being substantially augmented. He got $500k for winning the Big 10 East division And if UMich beats the Hawkeyes, his bonus is $1 million for winning the title. He'll get another $500k for making the College Football Playoffs. And if he wins the CFP, he gets another $1 million.
