Unfortunately, we won't be seeing any of these guys for a while.
McGill and Turner-Muhammad are out for the year, based on what Shaw has said. It would be a pleasant surprise if one of them comes back for the end of the season. I originally thought McGill had a high ankle sprain with his foot in a boot, but it must be something worse.
Wilson is expected back by mid-season, maybe a bit sooner. He has some sort of a foot issue, possibly a broken bone in his foot.

surprised to see JMF still as starting LB. Any comments on his injury?

On JMF, Shaw said post conference that he was borderline for the KSt game and that he should definitely play this week.
I hadn't seen Miezan play before, I thought he was one of the few highlights on Saturday.
Those two commonly get referenced in the same sentence, I hope we see something similar from him.

I was hoping to see some shuffling on the defensive side of the ball as well. #23, #10 and #21 all had poor games. Not sure when the accountability kicks in.

Here's where our lack of depth at D-line and Safety really is an issue. On the D-line, the alternatives are walk-ons or true freshmen. Safety has been a sore spot for a while now, and McGill is injured. Hopefully one of the freshmen or sophomores emerges.

Last year Thomas Schafer was a pleasant surprise as a fifth year player but Stanford may not be so lucky this year. Might want to start mixing Armitage in. He may be the (much) better option by the end of the year. Options at safety, as you note, are limited. But again need to try and find someone to upgrade the position among your freshmen and sophomores.

Quote:"This [QB] competition has gone really well and both guys really elevated their games. Both guys played really well up until this last weekend. He’s (McKee) shown the team a lot of what he can do. Going off the game, I think he still made some young guy mistakes to clean up and do better. At the same time, I thought he showed a lot of promise."

I saw both Aybar and Armitage on the sidelines. I don't know if the travel roster is restricted for non-conference games like it is for conference games, but I thought it was a good sign that both made the travel squad.

The accountability can only kick in if there are competent players behind them

Exactly. Replacing bad with worse helps nobody. If there is a player that is a "maybe" then you can try them out, but when you don't even have that, you are stuck.
