Illinois beat the fighting Frosts 30-22. I think the odds are against Frost lasting the end of the season.
UCLA is having its way with Hawai’i, now 44-3 in the third quarter. UCLA’s running attack looks scary. No idea how good Hawaii’s run defense is,but it’s not like we are confident of ours.

Now 44-10. Hawaii's TD was scored by Stanford transfer Caleb Phillips. He was a backup LB and special teamer for the Cardinal but appears to be playing TE for Hawaii.

turns up a cause for termination as

Illinois vs. Nebraska was very entertaining.
The first points of the FBS CFB season came after a gorgeous punt and a bonehead returner catching the ball near the goalline and putting his knee down for a safety. A clear mistake to field a ball that would have likely gone into the end zone for a touchback. Not a good look for Nebraska (or its coaching staff).
Illinois started the second half with your standard 14-play, 8 minute drive for a TD. Ten runs and four passes. Remarkably, all four passes were complete, including the last one, a two-year toss for a TD.

Interesting because on Hawaii's first set of downs, the punter let his knee touch the ground while receiving the ball from center, giving UCLA the ball at the Hawaii 15. The Hawaii defense held UCLA to a field goal, but only after DTR overthrew an open receiver on a sure TD pass.
As the game went on, you began to wonder if UCLA was that good, or Hawaii that bad. Hopefully the latter.

Watching the UCLA-Hawaii game yesterday noticed that former Stanford OLB special team player and walk-on Caleb Phillips caught a touchdown for Hawaii as a Tight End. He caught 2 passes for 3 yards and the TD.

Harbaugh haters wondering what happened to Charbenout(SP) at Mich. He was terrific for UCLA yesterday...elusive, powerful and fast. He's from LA.

Since I root for Michigan when they play anyone but Stanford, I was sorry to see Zach Charbonnet transfer. He averaged 5.1 yards per carry and scored 12 TD's in 18 games over two seasons:

He will be a challenge for our defense on September 25.
Geaux Cardinal!

I know you have relocated to Denver, but I hope your family and friends are ok after Hurricane Ida.

Thank you for checking BC. Fortunately all came through fine. Those who stayed are mostly now deciding where to spend the next X weeks until power is restored. The flood protection system worked well for New Orleans. Unfortunately, the power grid lacked the necessary resilience. Hopefully they'll do better next time.
