Anyone know what this is all about?

If this was a complaint then without explanation he's a coward. He sounds like Gene Woodling bitching about Casey Stengel.

Pretty damn shameful. Not a Stanford man...

That was my second reaction (my first was - "there is likely a problem in the men's hoops program" when you add this tweet to what we saw last half of last season). But I'm actually okay with TT giving Stanford the opportunity to "come correct" as it were. But if there is nothing from Stanford in coming days, then TT should put up or shut up.
It's also hard to see first-hand program knowledge from Terry about something that prompted his tweet (he's been gone for a year-plus). If it was from his own playing days, then his comment now is way tardy.
Regardless, not a good development for Stanford hoops. And I also agree that it doesn't reflect well on TT, either . . . at least for now.

Wake me when Ziaire Williams likes that tweet, or when there is a mass of de-commits in the next couple classes.

FWIW, neither of his tweets has been liked by any current or former players.

Well, I'd say it's pretty clear something happened

As if any program under Muir is going to come clean about anything...transparency is NOT the word of the day in the Stanford Athletic Department

I mean, the buck ultimately stops with Muir, and this might be another datapoint to assess him, but the first person I would think of for having to come clean about something would be the head of that program?

With an allegation like this, no head coach is going to say bupkis without Muir's blessing. I fully expect crickets at least and until Terry shows his hand
Just another nail in Muir's coffin.

Don't expect to hear anything else from Terry for a couple of hours. He's playing in the Mavs' summer league game as we speak (on ESPN3, I think).

What is the allegation? That Terry feels that committing to Stanford is no longer the best decision he's ever made?
I'm legit puzzled about what anyone is supposed to say, and when?
It seems way too early to conclude anything about the program, let alone the AD, on the basis of a cryptic comment by a former student athlete who hasn't been in the program for 1.5 years, unless you are just looking for a reason to condemn the AD.

It's a sport chat site BC. Thirst for something at this dry period. Plus it's deliberately provocative.

Yes, it is clear that something new happened. The range of things that could happen 1.5 years after he departed Stanford has nothing to do with coaching style or experience at Stanford. It may include any of the following:
1) Slander from someone at Stanford saying something negative about TT
2) Stanford denying a request that TT made such as access to facilities or free tuition to take classes
3) Stanford asking TT for something that he doesn't think is fair (i.e. paying back tuition or room and board or some other benefit perhaps for NCAA compliance reasons) after he declared for the draft
4) An academic issue: denying credit in classes that he thought he should have gotten credit for
Not sure what else it could be, but this is clearly a new issue and he feels Stanford needs to come clean with an explanation. My guess is there is some petty issue that Stanford was trying to pursue with him, and his response is, really?

I was already inclined to believe the program has locker room chemistry problems. I’m still sore over Reid Travis.

Thanks for putting those hypotheticals out there . . . hadn't really thought of most of those possibilities, which are all plausible.
It's possible that Stanford's position that is antagonizing TT is also legit, is it not? You don't seem to entertain that notion (though you conceded only a guess).

Pure speculation, but that’s what we do here: somebody on Twitter speculated that it may have to do with coaches speaking less positively about him prior to the draft. The timing would jive with that scouting report mentioning that ziaire’s coaches at all levels say that he doesn’t work hard enough

My guess is we don’t have a clue. And there is no way that Stanford will or should respond to a non specific statement that is suggestive, but says nothing.
