Football Seat Selection Tool - Snorlax94 - 06-01-2021

I got the link today for the Stanford Football Season Ticket Seat Selection Tool.

My date/time to switch, based on my "level of engagement" is 6/14. Am I still basically last? I think most season ticket holders have decades of priority but I wonder if I've inched up a little bit since 2016.

My biggest takeaway, and not a big surprise to me, is that many seats in desirable areas are taken and a lot of people renewed.

If you were to read the comments here on the Cardboard, like every year something has outraged people so grievously (sound system too loud, kickoff time too late, sun is too sunny...) that they have cancelled their lifelong season tickets and will never return.

But, the data indicates otherwise. Most people are returning. Sometimes in odd years no one drops off, so in that respect any dropoff is a little disappointing, but I thought it was pretty good, considering.

Now will people who pay for tickets actually show up? Who knows.

But my guess would be people are really looking forward to a return to in-person events, and that attendance this year should be, if anything, an increase over 2019.

I've been attending games for 35 years but I've only been a season ticket holder (and small-time Buck Club contributor) for about 12 years.

Interesting... I've been a STM for approximately 6 years, haven't donated to Buck/Cardinal club, but have bought many tickets for other sports through my Stanford account.

I've been a football season ticket buyer since 1982, although as I recall they only have records back to 1986 so that's the most credit you can get.  I have not bought any other season tickets.  I give a small amount to B/C club each year and have for a number of years.  I give more to the University than the B/C club but I'm still a tiny donor.  I have been a volunteer for the University, mostly around reunions.

Had my slot today. Didn't change my seats, but added my parking.

Parking was surprisingly hard to get -- I would have been happy getting the general admissions lot (further way, but faster access to Campus Drive), but it had nothing available, so I am back to the 'ol Cardinal lots.

I wonder -- was the General Admissions lot really full? Or maybe they're reserving it for game-day sales this year?

My slot was last Friday. No available seats better than what I have, which is fine we are pretty happy with what we have.
