Reminded me of the then-famous case of Hank Gathers in 1990, a college basketball star who died of a heart condition. There was some reporting at the time that indicated this was something statistically more likely in extremely tall people. And there are a number of cases of basketball players dying during their playing career. This article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_basketball_players_who_died_during_their_careers lists a bunch of them, some of them of heart problems (along with gun deaths, car crashes ... that list is a good reminder of mortality)
