But they are still playing men and womens BB, and football - go figure. For a lot of the BW schools as much a financial decision

I'm a little unclear what they mean by "fall sports".  Fall 2020 season is almost over.  For example, if women's indoor volleyball was being held the regular season would be over.  Basketball is considered a winter sport.   Are they cancelling participation of Big West teams in NCAA fall tournaments. My timeline may be off because I'm thinking in terms of quarters rather than semesters.

they were to play the fall sports -  soccer, vb, cross crountry, etc. in the spring

Wow, that's a killer for Hawaii WVB.  They have one of the biggest fan bases in the country and definitely the most enthusiastic.    Cal Poly WVB could possibly have made a 48 team NCAA tournament.  This has to be a set back for these programs and a real motivation killer for the players.

However, there's still a chance the entire WVB spring season could be canceled.  And likely the first date of practice will be moved from January 5 to late January or February.
