Injuries? - Phogge - 12-06-2020

Two years in a row. Even some season ending ones from practice. WTF is going on?

S&C. That's what's (not) going on. This is now going on three years with elevated injury rates. It's no longer an outlier. It's a pattern

Were more season-ending injuries announced this week?  I must have been snoozing....

I get that it’s frustrating on a football and human level to see so many injuries, but this strikes me as a little whiny.

Where it counts most and where we’re particularly thin - in the trenches on both sides of the ball - we’ve been remarkably healthy.  The only starter not playing is Pakola, and I haven’t heard why. Everyone on both lines had major strength and weight gains during this off-season.

Wedington appears to have fractured or sprained his wrist, and Wilson is in a boot with a presumed ankle sprain. Those don’t seem to be S&C related injuries.  Miezan and JMF were coming back from major leg injuries so you have to take those with a grain of salt.

All teams experience injuries.  Luck seems to be the biggest factor.

All three out for OSU?  Anything serious enough for long-term problems?  That's a lot of weapons, no doubt, though the remaining group looked good yesterday.  Fehoko seems one or two break-out games away from an early-ish round draft spot.

Fehoko isn't ready. He needs a full year to impress. About eight or nine Alabama receivers are ready.

Have to agree.  He clearly has some skills.  But he doesn't separate well, I don't think he runs great routes and he's a marginal blocker.
