Bloomberg published on 11/24 an interesting ranking of 53 countries best and worst to be during Covid. According to this, New Zealand is the best, Mexico the worst. US is 18th from the top.
The "Bloomberg Resilience Score" factors in cases per thousand, 1-month case fatality rate, total deaths per million, positive test rate, and (another surprise to me) "access to vaccines."
The best, after New Zealand, come Japan, Taiwan, South Korea ... Australia is seventh, China 8th, Germany 14th, Sweden (surprised me) 16th.
The worst, just above Mexico, come Argentina, Peru, and Belgium. France comes in at 45th, Italy at 41st.
