Any chance Little opts back in? - donkey687 - 09-29-2020

Ohio State and Michigan players who opted out and signed with agents got waiver approved to opt back in.  Anyone know if Little is considering the same? A 7 game season that finishes in December could be good audition for NFL and has less injury risk than a full season.

He was really looking forward to playing with Mills this year.  He has another shot.

I don't know where I read this, but I remember seeing somewhere that he's remaining opted out. He is already enrolled in an NFL training program in Florida (though this enrollment happened before the season was announced).

The chance is Little to none.  I heard him on Troy Clardy’s podcast, and though he was disappointed not to play a season with Davis Mills and his buddies, he was very comfortable with his decision and just relieved to be moving forward with a plan.

Just objectively speaking, he has little to gain from playing a shortened, awkward season - he’s probably going to be a low 1st round / high 2nd round pick either way. He could improve on that slightly, or he could get injured and fall dramatically. Plus, he’s earning his degree (for free) either way. The risk/reward no longer adds up for him.
