Goin\' home - Sue_Ann_Duckett - 06-05-2010

We lost to Fullerton State, 6-5. After a leadoff homer by Tyler Gaffney, the Stanford bats went to sleep while Fullerton shortstop Christian Colon hit a pair of two-run homers. We trailed 6-2 in the bottom of the seventh when Stephen Piscotty hit a three-run homer to make it a game again.

Gaffney singled to lead off the ninth and advanced to second on a Colin Walsh groundout. (Before moving the runner over, Walsh hit a monstrous shot to left that curled foul.) But that\'s as far he went. Piscotty popped out, Ben Clowe grounded out, and our season was over.

I\'ll note that kal and Stanford were the only #2-seeds in the regional to suffer a 0-2 record.  Ouch for the Pac-10.

Can we already claim Texas\'s good performance as a part of the SuperPacBigMoneymaking-16?
