The hammer and the dance - BostonCard - 03-19-2020

In a previous post, I noted that we can beat back the coronavirus if we took certain tough measures (the hammer) and then used testing, isolation, and contact tracing (the dance) to keep the virus at bay long enough to get us a vaccine.

I also posted this epidemiologist’s blog post last week.  Here’s his updated one, which goes into much greater detail about how to beat it back.

It’s much more detailed and knowledgeable than I could ever hope to be, so well worth the read.

And here’s his (prescient) post last week. Well worth the read if you haven’t already.

Here’s a sobering analysis from the New York Times and researchers at Columbia.

Note, I think coronavirus coverage is free but you have to register. To those who might have issues with the objectivity of the times, this may be one case where it is worth overcoming your misgivings.
