The final AP poll. 5 top 14 teams from the Pac 12

Such a shame the tournament didn't get to happen - PAC-12 was poised for a really special March and April.

2021 commit Brooke Demetre was named all state by Max Preps

Poll meaningless -- only way South Carolina is 1 for me would be if were unanimous (if possible). Otherwise, let's face it that some of us believe strongly that Oregon would have beaten them handily.

Looking for a new tread?
Uniroyal says "Flow Optimized Assymetrical Tread Patterns" are best for:
- Highest level protection against aquaplaning
- Outstanding grip on bends and corners
- High curve stability
- Minimum noise
Low noise? This should be the Cardboard's tread pattern of choice.

Added some h to the head in to your tread, Bob. And relabelled for all things off-season, to separate from our ongoing recruiting thread.

DiJonai Carrington and Maryland HC Brenda Freese began following each other on twitter today. I wonder if she entered the portal. Hopefully not!

Good catch, but bad news. Wonder if D is exploring contingencies in the event Wilson is first in line for the final spot?

I like the Boneyard poll, where South Carolina and Oregon finished in a tie.

Tied in points, but Oregon got 6 first place votes, South Carolina got 5. So as far as I'm concerned, Oregon is tops -- Go Pac-12

Hey, since school is cancelled, why don't they take the top 4 ranked teams and quarantine them (coaches, players, and support staff) for 14 days in the same facility. Then, let them play it out in a round robin format for the NC. It would be cheaper than the full tournament and the TV ratings would be off the charts.

More generally, I've wondered why certain sports haven't followed this approach: quarantine, compete, test, etc.
But whatever, if/when sports do reappear on TV, I imagine the ratings will be hu . . . um, quite good.

To quarantine them for 14 days means they would have zero contact with friends or family and would have to be separated from the entire general population, so they'd have to cook their own meals, wash their own clothes, clean their own living space, etc. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the feasibility of this is next to zero, and the optics of running a Very Special Episode of March Madness while the populace at large is sick and dying would probably do no one any favors.

Good grief.
Let us all recoil and whimper at even the thought of doing something "normal."
