Stanford "wins" WSJ's 2011 College Football Grid of Shame - mark3k - 09-02-2011

The good news: we are, by far, the furthest (farthest? sorry, I already forgot...) "up and to the right" -- i.e., in the best corner of the best quadrant on a 2 dimensional scale plotting Projected Weakling/Powerhouse against Wear Your Colors With Pride/Peel Off the Window Sticker!

The bad news: their comment for us... "The greatest days this program will ever see. Maybe more than a handful of people will actually show up to see it."

Best line (for Miami): "Across the Web, fans have been coming up with nick-names for the scandal-plagued Hurricanes' Sept. 17 matchup against fellow pariah Ohio State. Our favorite: the Ineligibowl."

Apparently one has to subscribe at $49/month (or at least start a "risk-free trial") to be able to see a version of the grid that is large enough to be legible.

Weird... I only pay $99/year (far less than the price the SF Comical tried to charge me), and unlike the Comical, my internet and iPad subscriptions are free with my paid print subscription.  Hope Robber Baron's link work's better for people.  If you look in at the grid closely, there are some very questionable placements, but it's a fun exercise.
