Phew... I thought it was one of our recent players with the title of the post! The ACL has plagued Stanford for a number of years and it seems lately we've been healthier (in regards to this particular injury). Let's hope it stays that way.

As most SWBB fans know, senior DiJonai Carrington overcame two ACLs operations in high school to become one of the team’s leading scorers and rebounders last year. Apparently, over this past summer, she had minor “clean-up” surgery to one of her knees. After starting at the beginning of this season, she has missed the past few games of the season. The coaching staff has been mum on her current prognosis. One can only speculate as to what is keeping her from playing, but, given her history, it might be swelling or pain in one of her knees.
Her reserved demeanor a few weeks ago has given way to a much more upbeat energy, which could be a sign that she’s on the mend. I hope so, we need her leadership and talent if we are going to make a good run this year. The archived article that follows, while old, does present a good picture of what she has had to overcome due to her ACL injuries.

Any chance Carrington redshirts, recovers fully from whatever is ailing her... or would we not have enough scholarships available?

Since we only signed three for 2020, I think we do have a scholarship available. Speculation has been that Anna Wilson would get it if she could get a hardship waiver, but I think that's speculation. Carrington could redshirt if her injury is season ending.

Word at the chalk talk is that Di is feeling much better and is close to returning to practice.
