I'm glad we have a good set of signees. I don't follow the twists & turns of recruiting, so I haven't looked at these signees before now.
I continue to be concerned about having the bigs to deal with the elite bigs at other top WBB schools.
(Fr) Prechtel is listed as 6'5". That would have been big a decade ago. Now, it isn't so big. Talented, but still raw (32 min this year)
(Signee) Brink would be our 2nd tallest at 6'4". However, it looks like if she were to play inside, she'd get pushed around easily.
(Jr) Jerome at 6'3" seems to be doing pretty well, but is a short big. (30 min)
(Sr) Fingall at 6'3" continues to need improvement to play regularly. I don't think she's going to contribute much. (Only 17 min. so far)
(Jr) Dodson at 6'3" hasn't played this year.
I'm sure Tara is happy to have them all and will utilize them as well as possible.
Maybe I've been watching WVB and other top WBB too much and expect more height, but it seems Stanford is mostly going to be conceding the interior to the other top teams.

I did notice that when Tennessee beat Notre Dame in South Bend last week, 6'5" Tamari Key played a big part in stopping the Irish inside. But I think Prechtel can do that, if she stays out of foul trouble.
I also think Belibi's power and athleticism can make up for a lot. It often wasn't the big bigs that were trouble last year - you can get a body into them rebounding, and a lot of them don't have very refined offensive moves. It was the quick bigs who killed us, taking rebounds away inside. Hoping that's Fran this year.

This is another fantastic class with yet another top 10 signee. Fabulous trajectory.
As I said on the similar thread yesterday, my question is what happened to our fourth scholarship for that year? Is there going to be a fourth announced in the next few weeks as there was last year? Or are we saving the slot and giving Wilson a redshirt year? Bob is going to ask at the Chalk Talk in a couple of hours. If he doesn't, I will :P

As one comment, Fingall is very talented and will play more and more, and look better, as her knee continues to heal.

The signing period for basketball ends next week. So I asked and the answer seems to be maybe one down the road for 2020 probably save for 2021.
