Can’t find the original thread that talked about Bruce Pearl’s shenanigans, so have started a new one. I found a column in this morning’s USA Today interesting. I think the author of the column should tell us what she really thinks.

There are a lot of administrators willing to look the other way if you are able to get your team to a final four, as Bruce Pearl just did.

Pearl's first coaching job was at Stanford. I have several friends who well thought nothing and worse of him at Stanford as Dr Tom's assistant.

I'm hoping Tony Bennett wins it. I don't want him heading to UCLA thinking that he can't win a championship in Virginia. UCLA would be a beast with a coach like Bennett..

That was a terrific game. Not a snooze fest at all. Title games never are. Always so close.
The teams combined to shoot 44% FG, including nearly 40% from 3pt range, and shot 87% from the FT line. Only 19 combined turnovers and only 33 fouls through 45 minutes. The biggest margin was 10 in first half and 9 in second, and TT actually took lead with under a minute to go.
You could claim the replay review overturn at the end of OT was unfortunate, but I don't think anyone will claim UVA didn't do enough to win and that they weren't the better team, if even by a small margin.
