The Huskies took down Cal State Fullerton in Game 1.
Oregon State crushing Minnesota in their Game 1.
Y'all rather see Huskies make CWS over CSF?
In any case, the Beavers look like the best team by quite a wide margin, and I would be surprised if they aren't the champs in Omaha.

I'm rather indifferent between UW and CSF, but I'd like whoever advances to win it all. My two cents' worth.
Here's the OSU game write-up.

Very dramatic and exciting end to the Fullerton-UW series.
Washington took a 3-1 lead to the 9th inning of game 3. Fullerton scored 3 runs with two out to take the lead in the top of the 9th. Washington got a clutch one out single in the bottom of the 9th to tie the score.
Fullerton took the lead again in the top of the 10th. But the Huskies scored 2 in the bottom of the 10th for the win and their 1st ever trip to the College World Series.

Oregon State won game 3 over Minnesota so the P12 will have 2 representatives in Omaha.

Wow, I watched until the 8th, figured the game was over and went to bed. Congratulations to the Huskies for taking Stanford's spot in the CWS. :/

I found the UW-Fullerton series fascinating, largely because we dropped two games to each club right at the end of the year.
I had thought UW had a slight edge given their relative performance against us, though home/away issues both versus us (i.e. UW got to play us in Seattle whereas Fullerton came to Stanford) and again in the super-regional (UW had to go to Fullerton) complicated the matter.
Unfortunately, I fell asleep watching and missed most of the dramatic finish.
And just to be a stickler, OSU beat Minnesota in two straight: 8-1 and 6-3.
That latter game was the only game OSU ever trailed during the post-season so far, and the only game they won by less than 6 runs.
OSU does seem the best team in the country at this moment. However, the situation was pretty much identical a year ago at this time and OSU ended up getting knocked on in the semifinals by LSU.
It's baseball.

Thanks for being a stickler and correcting me, CT. I fell asleep watching the OSU-Minnesota game when it was 3-2 Minnesota in the 8th. I assumed Minnesota held on and the 6-3 score that I saw was for game 3. Game 2 (a 9 inning game) lasted 3 hours, 58 minutes.
It's nice to have a team to root for or against in this tournament. But (if one can stay awake for it), there is some great, exciting baseball for all fans to enjoy. It will be the last NCAA action we get to see until football season starts at the end of August.

Wasn't OSU undefeated, or have some crazy long win streak last season when they played LSU? Like they had to think their luck was going to run out in terms of the mental game.
It sure will be a bitter pill to see Washington and Duke make the CWS in a year Stanford had the #2 overall seed. So I guess I'm rooting for Texas Tech today.

Oregon State didn't have Luke Heimlich for the CWS last year.

Yeah, I had thought about adding that. In 2017, Heimlich last pitched in game #2 of the regional - he didn't pitchin the super-regional or the CWS.
OSU was still winning by giant scores, until they suddenly dropped two to LSU.

OSU had went 56-6 on the season last year - were obviously 56-4 until they dropped two to LSU.
They had won 21 in a row before that.
In the CWS Oregon State ended up playing three games in a row versus LSU (which is one of the likely scenarios in the four team, double elimination format). The first one they won 13-1 before dropping two after LSU survived the losers bracket.
This year they took out LSU twice during the regional, scores of 14-1 and 12-0.

I don't feel particularly bitter UW is in the CWS, and probably pretty positive about it.
That's more of a gut feel than any logical analysis, but I do like to see a continued reminder that the western teams are under-seeded and under-rated by RPI.
I have no feel for Duke in baseball either way. At least as of the very moment I am writing, they are down 4-2 in the 8th and possibly not on the way to Omaha.
