Expect new information related to Oregon & NCAA - yvonne - 06-20-2011

The Register-Guard's George Schroeder tweeted:
"Expect big batch of docs related to NCAA investigation into Oregon fb to be dumped Monday; open-record requests 3.5 mos. ago."

He later tweeted that the school had to release them due to the state's open records law.

I doubt they'll get much, but they aren't in the SEC (which means they aren't protected).

cf Auburn, right?  Sigh.

The material did come out on Monday and showed:

-That the scouting material that they paid $25,000 for was almost completely useless.
-It included profiles of some players who were already in college, only players from 4 states and there was apparently no video as promised.

Since the material is largely useless, the question remains what was the $25,000 really for?

Here's the Register Guard article.....so the race is one, who will be dq'ed first Auburn or Oregon?

You mean *who* was the $25,000 really for, don't you?  And there are two correct answers: Seastrunk and the agent that steered him to Oregon.  Seastrunk was a topic of much interest given his Texas roots and my proximity to die-hard burnt orange wearers.  It was not a good day when Seastrunk decided not to play for Texas.

I'd like to see Auburn go down first.  The less time those fans have to wallow in their self-absorption, the better.
