That would be an excellent, and terrifying hire: https://twitter.com/MichaelJLev/status/951848606495072256

Excellent because ... he's an excellent coach. Terrifying because...assuming he runs the triple option (and why wouldn't he), then there's gonna be a lot of lower-body injuries in the rest of the conference.

Also, I have to imagine it would be a good fit for their current QB.

WIM - I don’t think the triple option would work in the P12 because recruiting guys effective in that O would be problematic.

At the service academies, the triple option is run because it is their only hope of being competitive v. FBS competition.

Having said that, I still think that Coach N. would be an excellent choice. AZ would not need to worry about his behavior and he has a ton of experience.  Note:  He was C.al’s first choice last year but said, “no thanks”...

He probably has a line into Punaho and St. Louis. Tucson is a great town but so is Annapolis.

Any offense can work in any conference. Its just a matter of if Arizona will spend the $$$ necessary to bring in top assistants who can recruit.

At Arizona he would have a brobdingnagian leg up on Paul Johnson at GT because he would have a far greater recruiting pool and I would imagine they would use a lot of JUCOs
