Yes, although I never ran indoors and the numbers don't always translate well for me.. Like the clues, however, of who may be trending up and be a bigger force when they move outdoors, especially in the 1500 and up.

Bob,
As long as I'm running this board, you will not have to ask this question because there will always be at least one other track fan.

Definitely interested here. Still sorting out which board for which sport. T&F should live here!

My town and country club lost a legend in the sport last week, Horace Ashenfelter. I had the honor of meeting him last summer (and seeing him tee off at the age of 94).Â
Here is the Times write up:

The Kenyan's have owned the steeplechase since the '84 Olympics. The US took the silver in Rio.

Former San Francisco 49ers lineman Michael Carter still holds the high school shot put record. He set his National High School record in the Shot Put, 81'3 1/2" at the 1979 Golden West Invitational (Sacramento, CA) while competing for Jefferson High School of Dallas, Texas. No high school athlete has come within four feet of this record since.

Carter had a silver at the Olympics:Â

My son competes as a discus and shot put thrower for his high school team so I have take an interest in all things Track and Field. Hopefully , if Stanford hosts track meets, we can visit the campus this Spring to watch the action.
