this week in opponent injuries - BostonCard - 10-02-2017

Oregon's starting QB Justin Herbert, knocked out in the Cal game, is out 4-6 weeks, which means he won't play against us.

It appears that the Frollos' QB Brandon Wimbush is in a walking boot.

That's a bummer.  Even though he wound up going to Cal, I always liked him and appreciated the effort he went to try to get into Stanford.

FWIW, I heard today from a reliable source that JJ is doing really well and was not showing symptoms at this point.  The situation looked worse to me in real-time at the stadium, based on his reaction immediately after the play, but apparently he's doing well and likely to be cleared.  Let's see if Shaw gives any meaningful update in tomorrow's press luncheon...

I believe Shaw said it was unlikely we'd see JJAW next week...but that was earlier.

I noticed that Regan Williams played FB on Stanford's final drive.  For those who were at the game, did you see Marx go out?

Also did Mike Tyler return after he went down?

What was JJ's injury?

Looked like a concussion from slamming his head into the ground falling backwards after catching a pass. Seemed very similar to one experienced by Devon Cajuste last season.
