Leinert is a pig - Phogge - 09-30-2017

Just said that the Voldemort race is down to Baker Mayfield and Barkley of Penn State. So let's just forget the rest of the season and use Saturday's for Christmas shopping.

Nice pro career pal.

I don't know if he is a pig, but he is an idiot and a Toejam, either of which is much worse!

He's kind of a pig.  Breaks up with his pregnant wife before his son was born, argues over child support, cheated with one of the Bachelorettes, was linked with Kristin Cavallari, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and Blake Lively and was known as a big partier throughout his mediocre NFL career.  He also helpfully supported Tom Brady during Deflategate, claiming that every team tampers with footballs.

I'll put it to you this way.  When Dean Cain was warning Johnny Manziel to be on his better/best behavior, he said "you don't want to turn out like Matt Leinart."

Re: Leinert is a pig - cardcrimson - 09-30-2017

I think Barkley had 56 yards on 20 carries today. Plus a 98 yd td return. Perhaps Leinert thinks it's Matt Barkley.

Re: Leinert is a pig - CompSci87 - 09-30-2017

ESPN has anointed Barkley, haven't they?

Don't you think Love will do well enough for ...runner up?  It is our tradition, after all.

That's what I said to my seatmates. Our next H-word runner up.

He's right - love has no chance to win given how McCartney couldn't win with even more visibility and a better team performance.  No need to hate on Leinart - he was staunchly behind McCaffrey for Voldemort

John Lennon took votes away from him.

Re: Leinert is a pig - Phogge - 10-01-2017

Yeah, but he was a Starr.

Re: Leinert is a pig - rudruff - 10-01-2017

Didn't realize that Barkley was 9th among rushing leaders.

Re: Leinert is a pig - North Woods - 10-01-2017

Yeah but he can catch and return kickoffs too. He even threw a touchdown pass. H voters have never seen that kind of versatility!

Yeah, Leinert has always been known as somewhat of a Lothario. I recall that when he decided to come back to U$C for another year rather than go to the NFL the joke was that there were still a few coeds on campus he hadn't had sex with yet and he wanted to remedy that situation.

A tip of the cap to you on that one.

Re: Leinert is a pig - BostonCard - 10-02-2017

Ugh... Barkeley is now down to 14th in total rushing.  His yards per carry is 6.7 is just 60% of Love's (11.1).  He gained all of 56 yards on 20 carries for a jaw-dropping 2.8 ypc against that defensive powerhouse Indiana (3.8 ypc against).  And somehow Barkeley is the friggin H-award leader.

Ugh

I'm not sure, but I don't think Leinart ever married his baby mama (she has since had another kidlet with some basketball player, sheesh).  Oink.

You're right.  I definitely didn't give him enough pig points.  Changed it above.

But let's be consistent. In 2015, I assume part of your argument in support of CMAC was his leadership in APY. SB currently leads that category @ 244/game compared to BL at 219/game. Leadership in rushing per game is not the be all end all. In 2015, CMAC ended up 20 yards per game behind Fournette in rushing but we all though his APY performance carried the day.
