Stanford/Wake Forest hasn't updated as having starte yet...25 min past scheduled start time? UNC/kal scores show them in the midst of the doubles point. Not sure if I should root against UNC for CapOne cup implications or root against kal because of course I should...

$C went overtime on those courts in being upset by UGA - only ended about 4:10 or so, with three three-setters in the singles. So figure half hour to changeover/warm-up, and should be starting shortly.

After dropping Court 3 and picking up Court 2, Stanford's shot at the doubles point rests on Tom Fawcett and Yale Goldberg as they fight to tie up the set count (currently 5-6...and down 0-30 already).

Wake is leading or has won the first set in the first four courts. Sutter won his first set on court 5, and Genesen is tied 4-4 in his first set. Not the best look for Stanford.

I see Wake is a #1, but you still gotta believe. Fawcett is outmatched on court 1, as is Wilczynski on court 3. Kumar, Genender, and Genesen have to reverse their first set results in set two right now. Sutter won his first set--keep it going.

#1 Wake drops #16 Stanford 4-0, and that's a wrap for the team.
Wake's roster is a regular United Nations. From court 1 through 6: Cyprus, Croatia, Tunisia, Germany, New York, Uzbekistan. Sigh.
Stanford's roster reads: Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, California, California, Oklahoma.

So, Wake fell to 9 seed North Carolina. Not good for keeping our lead in the Capital One Cup.

It was pretty clear UNC would beat Wake before the rain delay last night, so Georgia beating UCLA after the storms was critical as anything could have happened if UCLA made it to the semi's with only the 8 seed to beat to get to the finals.
