Looks like Wedington is up on the main page of the website now, so as Eubanks tends to say, the hay is in the barn.

In order, per the official Twitter account (with positions as noted by that account):

1. S Stuart Head (4:12 am PST; 7:12 am local time)
2. OT Walker Little (5:47 am PST; 7:47 am local time)
3. QB Davis Mills (5:49 am PST; 8:49 am local time)
4. CB Paulson Adebo (6:09 am PST; 8:09 am local time)
5. RB Sione Lund (6:21 am PST; 7:21 am local time)
6. DT Dalyn Wade-Perry (6:47 am PST; 9:47am local time)
7. C Drew Dalman (7:12 am PST/local time)
8. OT Foster Sarell (7:12 am PST/local time
9.  WR Osiris St. Brown (7:15 am PST/local time)
10. ILB Levani Dumani (7:17 am PST; 8:17 am local time)

*edited to add the remaining four signees*

11. TE Tucker Fisk (7:19 am PST/local time)
12. TE Colby Parkinson (7:25 am PST/local time)
13. DE Ryan Johnson (7:44 am PST/10:44 am local time)
14. RB/WR Connor Wedington (8:21 am PST/local time)

Dude! He's obviously out laying down fresh tracks...

Re: LOI tracker - SUBuddha - 02-01-2017

His bio just went active, so my guess is his letter is in. That is 14.

I'm sure it gets mis-spelled all the time and will continue to be mis-spelled for the rest of his life.

But we should get it right.  :)

Wedington can handle any extra D thrown his way.  8)

Re: LOI tracker - ColoradoTree - 02-01-2017

Some of the listed positions are interesting, if not totally surprising:

* Services considered Adebo as a WR (heck, ESPN had him as top 100 player and a top 15 WR in the class), a CB, and an ATH, but he'll at least start out at CB for us.

* Dumani was primarily listed as an OLB on the services, but we have him as an inside linebacker.

* Some services had Lund as a FB or an ATH, and some have wondered whether he might play LB for us, but we have him as a RB.

* Stu Head might ultimately play ILB for us, but for now, he's a safety.

* When he committed, Wedington noted we were looking at him for a McCaffrey-type role on offense (some services thought he might play CB), and that seems confirmed by listing him as a RB/WR and not settling on one position.

Re: LOI tracker - ColoradoTree - 02-01-2017

Stanford's geographical balance continues!

Of the 14 signees, we have four Californians, two Georgians (both of whom had marquee SEC/ACC offers, though I don't think Stu Head ever had an offer from UGA), two Texans (both of whom had UT offers), two Utahns, two Washingtonians, a New Jerseyan, and an Alabamian (who had Auburn and Bama offers).

The WR depth chart is a little thin, and we use a surprisingly large number of these considering how few receptions they get. By my count we have six returning scholarship players at the position, only two of whom have caught more than 2 career passes.
But, we do have St. Brown in this class and apparently other than Adebo no CBs.

247 lists Adebo as a CB. When he was a und commit there was considerable discussion as to which side of the ball he would ultimately play.

As you've seen here, folks are concerned that we haven't recruited anyone (else) listed at ILB for two classes now. Dumani is really the class of 2019, so not an immediate answer. It would seem likely that somebody is going to switch position - Head or someone else.

Hope he's good for that, he's certainly quick.
If not, hope they design the offense in another fashion.

Re: LOI tracker - BostonCard - 02-01-2017

So we have one definite wide receiver, one WR/CB, and one WR/RB.

Re: LOI tracker - winflop - 02-01-2017

Quality over quantity.  I read somewhere that there are 19 total signees?  I assume the other 5 are preferred walk-ons?

I'm really excited about this class.  Not only super-high in quality but addresses key positions for the future.

Re: LOI tracker - BigEasyCard - 02-01-2017

winflop, yes 19 total of whom 5 are preferred walk-ons.

Details here:

Two former Stanford players who each went on to the NFL have a son in this year's class.
