That was some kind of Low APR U Tech apologistic crap for having a crummy team, he would shriek. The hell with good grades, we wanted wins.

It is in his honor that I offer this link:

Since the award's inception in 1985/86 season, Stanford has had the most Men's Basketball Academic All-Conference winners with 65.  Second most?  Well, I would have figured UCLA, U$C, Washington or C.al.  Nope.  Washington State, with 35.  Why of course.

Re: Ancestral homage - M T - 03-25-2016

Wow, what a difference between MBB and WBB.

For the PAC-12 men, the high GPA on the 1st All-Academic team was 3.47.  For the PAC-12 women, the low GPA on the 2nd All-Academic team 3.66.

For Stanford MBB, Dorian Pickens was high for the men (1st team) at 3.37.  For Stanford WBB, Kaylee Johnson was high for the women (2nd team) at 3.77.

Let's not be too tough on LW - JohnR34231 - 03-25-2016

If it weren't for him and his ilk we all might still be posting on the Bootboard.

I think most of them have been dispersed after last years season and Rose Bowl win, but back in 2014 there were posters on the Bootboard who made LW look like Mr. Optimist.

P.S. Speaking of giving homage:

We had a fair number of foul-weather experts that appeared here in 2014 as well.

Just out of curiosity, how many people have duel citizenship on the CardBoard and Bootleg? I don't ask because I see something wrong with this. I am sure there are some intelligent and well informed fans on the Bootleg and I wonder what they are saying. But, I don't want to pay to wade through tonga-slobbering battles.

"duel citizenship" is a great Freudian slip.

Had to move pretty fast to beat Cowboy Indian on that one.

Pistols or swords?

I used to be on both but didn't see the point of $100 a year for relentless negativity.

The weapon of choice is grammar! By the way, don't you have duel citizenship?

I used to but after about 2 months over here I bagged the 'leg entirely because it was dominated by a couple of people with very sourpuss attitudes about everything (names being withheld to protect the guilty).  I've had conversations with lars about that but his answer is that if you want any kind of decent conversation you have to pay for it.

My sentiments exactly.
