Vegas likes our odds - stupac2 - 11-09-2015

Stanford is the 5th most likely team to win the national championship, at 15-to-1 odds: http://espn.go.com/chalk/story/_/id/14088906/alabama-crimson-tide-ohio-state-buckeyes-co-favorites-win-national-title

We're behind Alabama and OSU (both 5-2), Clemson (4-1), and Baylor (12-1). ND is 18-1 and Utah is 80-1, our only other opponents listed.

Curiously Bovada dropped our odds but converged (more-or-less, for our purposes) on the Westgate odds:

More curious is Baylor's odds dropping so much. Was that before we knew the extent of their QB's injury? I didn't think so but is the only explanation I can see.

I like the re-tweet observing that Florida went from 50/1 to 16/1.  Guess they had to get by Vanderbilt to see if they had a real chance.  ;D

Vandy's defense held UF to 9 pts.  That doesn't speak well for UF.

Or maybe that was influenced by a narrow win over and awful Kansas St team - and the fact that they still haven't beaten a team with a winning record.

Good point, since that was a Thursday game I forgot about it. If that's an omen of things to come (and there's more reason to believe that than there is that OSU has drastically improved, given that there was a QB injury), then Baylor will probably drop a game. This weekend will be very informative on that score.
