An interesting thing emerges looking at those stats. Stanford's 194 points scored is the most in the conference. The difference between Stanford and Arizona, who is #2 in points scored, is 65. The difference between Arizona and Washington, who is #12, is 68.

And interesting that, in the era of spread offenses, Stanford is doing this extensively on the ground. Since the second half of the VSC game, this has been like the University of Washington game of the Andrew Luck era, in which Luck just kept going to the run...again...and again...and again... But it is like that game after game.
Awesomeness.

My favorite kind of style points. Maybe we're seeing the emergence of David Shaw v2.0, the one who plays with swag, gets emotional, runs a trick play while up by many points to earn a Top 10 highlight reel catch, and allows his players to enjoy the glory of crushing victories. I think the voters still care about style points. We got style.

If I understand the numbers as presented above correctly, I think Arizona has 149 points, making the difference 45.

Keep in mind that Stanford and Arizona (as well as ASU and Oregon) have played 4 games and the other eight teams have played only three conference games.

Oh yeah. I don't know why I reversed them.
