I''m watching Kentucky-Auburn in deepest darkest SEC territory and am astonished how incompetent both teams are on defense. This is more dodgeball than football, IMHO........

I seem to recall that the NFL's first openly gay player, Michael Sam had 10.5 sacks his senior season and was both a first team All American and the SEC Defensive Player of the Year. At 6' 2" and 255 pounds, he was a bit slow (4.92 forty), and weak (only 17 reps of 225 pounds) and fell to the 7th round. He played in three different camps, but never made a roster.

Michael Sam, 2013: 11.5 quarterback sacks and 19 tackles for a loss, SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Year, first-team all-SEC, unanimous All-American. The Rams and the Cowboys cut him, but he did make the roster of the CFL Alouettes this summer. He quit in August and is now back at Mizzou in graduate school.
