9,000 students, $41,000 tuition

But they won for all the "little guys".

Anybody else think we could have handled Wisconsin today?

Re: TCU - terry - 01-01-2011

No doubt. Stanford would have smoked Wisconsin.

Of course, I\'m assuming that Wisconsin\'s offensive coordinator would have been as stupid against us as he was against TCU. Wisconsin had the power running game working. TCU wasn\'t stopping it. But Wisconsin kept going away from power running and trying to pass, including on the 2-point attempt, and it cost them the game.

Good game. I\'m happy for TCU. They deserved it.

Re: TCU - Card Fan in OR - 01-01-2011

Any win for the "outs" is great, whether TCU, Boise, Nevada, or us.

0-5 for the big ten today. I\'m grinning from ear to ear.

Re: TCU - Nan3cy - 01-01-2011

Yvonne, I think the announcers said tuition plus room and board is $41K. Makes TCU a real bargain... 8-)

If they played as soft on our receivers as they did TCU, Luck would have passed for over 400 yds, at 7 yds per completion.  Couldn\'t believe the Badgers would give up so much real estate.

And they seem to have found a coach who is happy enough there to stay 10+ seasons, 7 of which had 10 or more wins (including 2 BCS bowls).

Re: TCU - jayasena - 01-02-2011

Re-reading my post above this morning, I realized it didn\'t say what I meant to convey (that\'s what happens when I post in the wee hours I guess). What I meant was that Patterson is a counterexample to the media\'s belief that a successful coach at a small private school must want nothing more than to jump to the NFL or a football factory at the first opportunity.

You were sleep walking. (I\'ve been waiting to say that.)
