^ Very interesting that Washington is getting into these elite athletes' top 2/6.Â
Not sure what I would see in Washington if I were in their shoes.

David Long is, IMO, the worst commit loss Stanford has suffered in all my time following Stanford recruiting. There is no replacing a guy with his athleticism.Â
My uneducated guess is he was denied admission. Stanford won't win a NC if it can't get some guys like Long into the program, so I will have to amend my prediction that Stanford will win a NC until such time as a David Long or Demetris Robertson is admitted.

Can't help wondering if Crawford has submitted (or at least plans on submitting) an application.

Don't get too hung up on Crawford. Â
Long is a brobdingnagian loss, but it's been coming. Denied admission or just didn't get the Test score he needed, doesn't matter just gone.Â

This week will tell us a lot. Kids get the results on the last SAT and ACT before LOI day. I bet many kids also will get their first semester grades. If there is no more attrition this week, that will be a good sign.
On Brandon Burton, watch when he schedules his last official. UCLA and Stanford are the contenders for the visit, and my guess is that Burton ultimately will commit to one of those two. The 3,000 mile trips were just for fun.

Crawford re-tweeted Long's decommitment, as well as something about another player committing to Michigan. My personal crystal ball says Harbaugh grabs both of them.

Well, better than Washington and Oregon getting them, right? :(

I would think that any new DB added is a replacement for the loss of Long. I'm a bit surprised, given how many DBs we have recruited the last couple of years, but given the number of spread offenses we face, this position has obviously become a priority, maybe over receiver, where we seem to have a greater need

Here's hoping that Stanford's OL commit from Hawaii makes it through the adversity he mentioned on Twitter and ends up in the #CardClass16 or that he finds another good home if that doesn't work out for him.

I think 2016 un-ranked DB recruit Jaelon "JJ" Parson from Hamilton in Phoenix (Casey Tucker and Garrett Rand's high school) may be a walk-on candidate.

And now several commits have re-tweeted Eboh's senior highlight reel.Â
And in related news, Jovan Swann re-tweeted those highlights as well.

Since Long and Herbig had been jettisoned by Stanford admissions, Stanford's now down to #15 on Rivals, a 12 spot drop in two weeks.Â
With five weeks to go until signing day, what do the prospects look like, and does Herbig or Long get replaced. I've seen mention of Obi Eboh as a Long replacement. But what about Herbig replacement?
If I throw out: DL Swann, DL Schafer, WR Stewart, WR Burton, WR Crawford, LB McCullough, DB Eboh, ATH Robertson. How many of these guys can Stanford realistically land, and are there any others (like an OG replacement for Herbig) on the radar?

I'm just hoping that those two are the last of the admissions casualties, although I have this sinking feeling they are not.

For those really into recruiting, look for commits to other schools who are submitting Apps.Â

You mean schools like Yale, Harvard, and Princeton? Or Notre Dame, Michigan, and Georgia Tech?

McCulloch tweeted that he will wait until signing day to make/announce his decision. Good/bad/non news?
