Several others listed also injured. But doesbtbreally matter now
Thanks, Bob. I'll make the change and mark him injured on the chart.
If you or anyone else has info on injured players (or nature of injury), I'll keep track of them in these lists.

Why are so many guys getting injured at practice?

Thanks SO MUCH, Bob. Personnel chart updated, as well as the M*A*S*H Unit chart.
It is sort of incredible that nine players were injured before the first game of the season. Now two more (at least).

Well I think two have been injured or not practicing for a long time now. Some are not ready since summer workouts.
Stanford/USC Frosh Force -
Langdude - 09-11-2019
Frosh Force. An incredible ten true freshmen played against the Trojans.
- WR Elijah Higgins played, presumably on ST. He has played in both games this season.
- RB Austin Jones saw the field again, carrying the ball once for a loss of two yards, and two receptions for 19 yards. He has played in both games this season, and seems to be a regular part of the rotation, probably more so as the season progresses.
- S Brock Jones, a walk-on, played in his first game. I would have guessed his PT was on STs, but he recorded two tackles, so maybe he got to play in some base defense? Glad that we have more safeties getting some game action.
- CB Kyu Blu Kelly played; recording three tackles. He has played in both games this season, and seems to be the third corner.
- CB Zahran Manley played in his first game, presumably on ST. I'm surprised that they are playing two frosh CBs so early in the season, but it speaks to the depth, or lack thereof, at the position. We've been so busy talking about our thinness at safety, and the majesty of Paulson Adebo, that we have not noticed that we are thin at CB, too, at least in terms of experience.
- S Jonathan McGill played, probably on ST. He has played in both games this season.
- T Barrett Miller played in his first game this season, coming in to play for an injured Foster Sarrell, and seemed to do OK, but, wow. are we thin at OL, too.
- RB Nathaniel Peat played in his first game, recording a reception for 11 yards. I wonder what the RB rotation will be like when Trevor Speights returns.
- T Walter Rouse started at LT for Walker Little, and will presumably be doing so for the foreseeable future. His performance was inconsistent, as might be guessed. Sometimes he looked like he belonged, sometimes he was outmatched. He has played in both games this season.
- P Ryan Sanborn, a walk-on, punted once, for 46 yards, a marked improvement over his first game. He has played in both games this season.
Note: The participation report is often incorrect, so I would be grateful for any corrections or clarifications in terms of the nature of playing time.

I didn't watch most of the game so can't confirm the veracity of the frosh report. But I believe it's accurate. LOTS of frosh playing already. Too much youth to be a truly competitive team right now IMO, but that seasoning should be valuable down the line.
And Bo Peek played in garbage time!
Stanford/USC Walk-On Union Watch -
Langdude - 09-13-2019
Walk-On Union Watch. Six non-scholarship players got PT against the Trojans.
- P Alex Gracey. Sophomore. He again served as the holder for field goals and extra points. I thought he seemed shakey again (I could be wrong about that as I am no expert in holding), but is marked as the holder for UCF.
- S Brock Jones. Freshman. Played in his first game, and garnered two tackles. Not sure if it was ST only or if he played defense. It is not a brobdingnagian surprise for him to get PT as a walk-on; he is at Stanford on a baseball scholarship.
- OLB Thunder Justice Keck. Junior. He recorded a tackle. He has played in both games this season.
- OLB Caleb Phillips. Junior. He has played in both games this year.
- P Ryan Sanborn. Freshman. Did better as the team's punter, though he only punted once.
- OLB Anthony Trinh. Senior. This was his first game of the season; he played in five games last year. He got a tackle against the Trojans.
In addition...
- ILB Ryan Beecher, a fifth-year former walk-on, played and recorded a tackle. He has played in both games this season.
- S J.J. Parson, a senior former walk-on, was the starting nickel back for the second time. He had a tackle.
- WR Brycen Tremayne, a sophomore former walk-on, played again.
- S Noah Williams, a junior former walk-on, played again, and recorded two tackles.
M*A*S*H Unit. The following players did not appear against the Trojans due to injury.
- Running Back
- Justus Woods, so.
- Trevor Speights, sr.
- Wide Receiver
- Tackle
- Walker Little, jr.
- Grant Pease, so. (I neglected to mark Grant as out due to injury against Northwestern as well. Now corrected.)
- Guard
- Trey Stratford, so.
- Dylan Powell, sr.
- Cornerback
- Ethan Bonner, so.
- Treyjohn Butler, sr.
- Safety
In addition, the following players were injured in the game, and are out against UCF.
- T Foster Sarrell, jr.
- ILB JMF, so.
- ILB Ricky Miezan, so.

Great update as usual. Thanks
So is Brock Jones by default now on a football scholarship? I think that’s the rule

That's a good question, Bob, as I remember that rule too, now that you mention it. And yet it seems that Brock is not counting against scholarship limits. Does any Cardboarder know anything about Brock's situation? Perhaps he is on a partial baseball scholarship?

RE: 2019 Stanford Football Personnel -
BobK - 09-13-2019
Baseball is almost all partial. 11.7 scholarships available for about 30 players not counting true walk ons

Yes Jones now on Football scholarship. Shouldn’t be a secret so I’ll share and congrats to Brock. Now I hope he plays baseball too :)

Stanford/USC Bench Bunch -
Langdude - 09-13-2019
Bench Bunch. The following non-injured non-frosh scholarship players did not appear against the Trojans
- Quarterback
- Jack West, so.
- Jack Richardson, sr.
- Wide Receiver
- Outside Linebacker
- Tangaloa Kaufusi, so.
- Caleb Kelly, so.
Stanford/UCF Frost Force -
Langdude - 09-17-2019
Frosh Force. An unprecedented 13 true freshmen played against the Knights.
- OT Branson Bragg played in his first game of the season, starting at RT for Foster Sarell. He had been listed as a "guard/tackle," but apparently he is more tackle than Barrett Miller.
- WR Elijah Higgins played, presumably on ST; he did not record a reception. He has played in all three games this season.
- RB Austin Jones saw the field extensively, carrying the ball six times for 69 yards and his first collegiate score, and one reception for four yards. He has played in all three games this season, and seems to have leapfrogged Dorian Maddox in the pecking order at RB.
- S Brock Jones, who at some point since his signing was given a scholarship, played in his second game. Not sure if it was ST or on defense. He did not record any tackles.
- S Spencer Jorgensen, a walk-on, played in the first game of his college career, and did not record a tackle. ST?
- CB Kyu Blu Kelly played, recording three tackles. He has played in all three games this season, and seems to be the third corner.
- CB Zahran Manley played in his second game of the season, and did not record a tackle. ST?
- S Jonathan McGill played on defense, recording three tackles and recovering a fumble and returning it for 28 yards and a touchdown. He has played in all three games this season. How long until he starts at safety?
- OT Barrett Miller played in his second game of the season, presumably as the extra lineman in jumbo.
- RB Nathaniel Peat played in his second game, recording a reception for -4 yards.
- OT Walter Rouse started at LT for Walker Little again. He has played in all three games this season.
- P Ryan Sanborn, a walk-on, got a lot of work in his third game. He punted seven times for a healthy 41.4 yard average. He had one 50+ yard punt, and three inside the 20 yard line. Easily his best game so far.
- ILB Tristan Sinclair made his collegiate debut, recording an impressive four tackles. Perhaps he was thrust into action early due to injuries, but if he can contribute, have at it.
Stanford/UCF Walk-On Union Watch -

Walk-On Union Watch. Six non-scholarship players got PT against the Knights.
- P Alex Gracey. Sophomore. He again served as the holder for field goals and extra points.
- S Spencer Jorgensen. Freshman. He made his collegiate debut; impressive for a walk-on freshman.
- OLB Thunder Justice Keck. Junior. He recorded a tackle and forced a fumble. He has played in all three games this season.
- OLB Caleb Phillips. Junior. He has played in all three games this year.
- P Ryan Sanborn. Freshman. Did markedly better as the team's punter.
- OLB Anthony Trinh. Senior. He got a tackle in his second appearance of the season.
In addition...
- ILB Ryan Beecher, a fifth-year former walk-on, played and recorded a tackle. He has played in all three games this season.
- S Brock Jones played in his second game. Not sure whether to call him a former walk-on or not; not sure when he got the scholie.
- S J.J. Parson, a senior former walk-on, was the starting nickel back for the third time. He had a tackle.
- WR Brycen Tremayne, a sophomore former walk-on, played for the third time.
- S Noah Williams, a junior former walk-on, played for the third time, and recorded two tackles.

Kelly actually took more snaps than Eboh. And didn't Miller play tackle when Hattis had to move inside because of an injury there? I'm starting to lose track.
