Thank you D on the hosting. I’ll be there.
What a win what a performance by the team
To think our last super regional was 11 years ago.
Go Beavers

Darn, I just got back from lunch. I missed the whole game. I thought Allister made very good decisions in game 6; it just didn't work out.
The decision to steal home was good IMO because at the time it looked like one run might win it. That play at home was really close. I'm ok with the challenge review decision but it could have gone either way.
I also thought bringing Vawter into pitch in the sixth was good although that's when Alabama started scoring.

Warne was a colorful character (which is understating it a bit). Brilliant leg bowler, but also, he’d (allegedly) give Maradona a run for his cocaine money. Briefly dated/was engaged to Elizabeth Hurley.
I got to see him once when the West Indies were in Australia for a test match. I had no idea who he was, not being much of a cricket fan. Still, the guy was a brilliant bowler.

I think the decision to bring in Vawter in Game 6 paid dividends in the Game 7. It allowed her to figure out today's strike zone. It is tough to bring a starter in a high-pressure relief situation, but I think Coach Allister adeptly balanced rest (Vawter only threw 31 pitches in Game 6 vs. the 135 for Montana Fouts) with having her go into the Game 7 with some pitches, as well as a feel for the umpiring.
And in the end, as I hoped would happen, the deeper (particularly pitching staff, but lineup too) team won.

I think Oregon State just beat Tennessee 3-1 to advance to the Super Regional . . . at Stanford?
Maybe I have this wrong. Seems too good to be true.

It's not too good to be true Mizzou Card! Based on our regional seeding, and what has already been posted to NCAA softball bracket on the official NCAA.com website, we are listed as the home team for Game #1 of the Super, meaning we are the Super Regional host.

What's up with Elizabeth Hurley? Why did Hugh have to troll Sunset Blvd for hookers?

All right now! Ever since March 2004, there's been no team I've been happier to see lose than Nick Saban's - and he certainly hasn't done much to change my sentiment in the past decade... That we now get to host the super regionals is icing on the cake. Really glad a bunch of folks around here can kick off their Memorial Day Weekend with some Sunken Diamond post-season play!

It (strongly) appears our series will start on Friday as opposed to Thursday. Based on my understanding of the Super Regionals,
two supers begin on Thursday, whereas the other six start on Friday. There is an early game and a late game on Thursday,
and Ok State is already scheduled for the late game on Thursday (which is when we would most likely play). Unless we get a 4:00pm PT/4:30pm PT (which I think is very unlikely), we will play on Friday. I think Arkansas will likely get the early game on Thursday based on the times already announced.
And we are now officially announced for Friday at 7:30pm PT for Game #1 (televised on ESPNU). Game #2 on Saturday at 3:00pm PT for Game #2 (also televised on ESPNU). Game #3 if necessary would be on Sunday.

we lost an away series to OSU this season, scoring 2 runs in 3 games. I'm looking forward to avenging that loss at home.

Very nice article about Pac-12 teams in the NCAA Softball Championship Tournament, leading off with Stanford
5 takeaways from the Pac-12's excellence in NCAA Softball Regionals | Pac-12
Pac-12 sent 7 teams to original field of 64 and 5 have advanced to the round of 16. At least one will move on the CWS.
Geaux Cardinal!
