If we got Warner, which is looking unlikely at this point, we would have at least one 4 or 5* at every position group (excluding kickers) in this class: QB, RB, TE, WR, OL, DL, DB, and LB.

That's a great article and you need to appreciate the author's candor:

Its one of the finest institutions in America and, oh, yeah, the Cardinal are making a killing on the recruiting trail in 2017."
I'm very excited about this year's class and the impact that they will have on the program. Hat's off to Shaw and the rest of the staff and here's hoping they aren't quite finished!

Not expecting Warner to join the class, but until he actually makes an announcement I'm hopeful this is a situation like Ricky Seale, who literally was admitted the night before signing day, if memory serves, and faxed his LOI to Stanford the next day.

It's disappointing that Warner did not end up with us. Wish him the best, and bet that he's the least likely kid on the team to need the tutors. He likely will use it to enhance his education.
That's two classes in a row without an ILB. Considering how our scheme funnels offenses into the middle of the field, we will need to convert some players or change schemes. Good thing we prospectively have a great offense.

I do not follow recruiting closely at all, but GoStanford.com lists Levani Damuni as an ILB. Is the thinking that he's not going to end up playing there?
