I think stan01 was looking for identification on the picture. Austin Hall posted this photo from Big Visit which makes it a bit easier to see faces.Â

I used the same facial recognition software that Jack Bauer does at CTU, so don't blame me if any of this is wrong.
Top Row:
Alameen Murphy, Dalton Schultz, Jesse Burkett, Isaiah Brandt-Sims, Daniel Marx, Casey Tucker (in back), Kirk Tucker, Harrison Phillips, Lane Veach (on shoulders), Solomon Thomas, Denzel Franklin
Middle Row:
Austin Hall, Jordan Perez, Joey Alfieri, Christian McCaffrey
Front Row:
Alijah Holder, Nifae Lealao, Brandon Simmons, Bobby Okereke, Terrence Alexander
Missing from the photo is Keller Chryst, which is why Lane Veach later posted this photoshopped pic:

From a recruiting hopes standpoint, probably the best guy to be missing from the pic! :)

LOL! Great find scores. Good to see that they feel close enough already to tease each other. ;D

The class of 2014 got smaller by one.

I assume you're referring to Kirk Tucker "opening up his recruitment", Redrum?
I don't think this link requires a subscription:
http://recruiting.scout.com/2/1366234.html
Quote:He is no longer committed to Stanford.
"I just want to weigh all of my options," Tucker said.
He chose Stanford over Ohio State back on August 10 and he reached out to Buckeye coach Luke Fickell on Wednesday.
... sounds to me like he got the wrong envelope?
Re: Big Visit -
jeboody - 01-16-2014
yes, it has been confirmed that he did not get accepted
Re: Big Visit -
Hulk01 - 01-16-2014
There's a 95% chance that we will lose another. I wish I could say more but can't. Most fans of Stanford recruiting will view it as a significant loss.
I post this only because several people have suggested that I predict a sweep and a smalll chance of ranking as high as ninth in Scout. I still think we will sweep the uncommitted recruits.
Sorry I really cannot add to this.
If it is Perez, I am gonna be TORQUED!! - Redrum - 01-16-2014
And if it is...maybe we can work the phones and put in a good word for him out of conference. Some place like Vanderbilt.

Word is Lealao could be on an OV to Berkeley this weekend. That's from Adam Gorney of Rivals, posted on the Cal Rivals site.

Hey - 01-16-2014
I don't want to start making any predictions about who the mystery non-admit might be.Â
That being said, I'm really rooting for all of our potential corners to make it. CB and NT are consistently the most difficult positions to recruit at Stanford and we're already in short supply.

Yes, Lealao has an official visit to Cal this week end. >:(

Re: Big Visit -

Yep - that's who I was afraid Hulk was referring to... though I thought Thomas looked much better at the US Army All-American Bowl, so I'd feel much better about losing him, if we sweep the non-commits (even if that does mean K.al benefits from our admissions standards).
Re: Big Visit -
Hulk01 - 01-17-2014
Cat's out.
Nifae's challenge is well known. The grades are fine. It's a Luke K hand card-for-card. Luke's passion for Stanford, hard work to get in, same under-represented ethnic group, even the same position and talent for blocking kicks.Â
You cannot predict admissions here . What is key is do his recommendations and other clues suggest that he can thrive at Stanford while playing football? Do his tests understate his real aptitude?
Admissions has seen vividly the benefits of a winning football team; the place is more alive than it's ever been. It's generating even more interest from non-players, which positions Stanford to present itself as the nations' most exclusive school. Applications doubled from 1970 to 2000 and have doubled again since. We are heading toward 5% yields. That's just crazy. Yields like that affect the rating services, among other benefits.Â
That doesn't dictate the decision here but it throws weight. The school benefits from land Nifae rather than a career backup. But this also means that the staff needs to believe that this kid can win games for us.
And while some people on these boards think that admissions totally directs these shows, Harbaugh proved that they do not. If the coach is ready to go 15 round he can win the decision. That may be the question here: How important is Lealao to this team?
