One people-finder site lists only SoCal as the residence of one of the 22yo twins. One of today's news stories says "The coach inherited a pair so close that they room together, take the same classes and have the same major."  That would be very convenient if they, uh, don't really attend classes in person.

However, I'd think the NCAA would want to avoid athletes that just fly in for performances.  For some sports, there is minimal reason to be part of the team or even an on-campus student.  Imagine if Stanford gymnasts trained full time in Europe but only flew in for the major tournaments.  That's a new possibility for pay-to-play $port$.

I hope this is just speculation and they are legitimate students that attend classes in person.
(At this moment, the twins are each tied with the Stanford players;  the other 3 Stanford players are each 2-up.  But it is very early and anything can still happen.)

Don't think that's a source that I would take as a definitive authority but it is interesting even if it's only partially true. For one, I highly doubt that any women's golf player in the MAC is making big bucks in NIL unless there happens to be a super wealthy EMU women's golf alum who happens to have a lot of school spirit.

someone is willing to spend some money on EMU golf (looks like the lead is Keith J Stone), in 2024 they opened an indoor 13,000 square foot practice facility....

Before learning about the investments in EMU's golf program, 
I was struck by the startling similarity of the EMU player's swings.

This is it, what the team has been preparing for all year. They wanted a chance to play for a national championship and now they have earned that chance. But the opponent is a team that is just about as strong and has matched Stanford all year in achievement. In any other year, USC would have been an overwhelming #1 team. They have won 8 tournaments this season, same as the Cardinal. Their top 5 are ranked 9, 13, 15, 25 and 41. Stanford's players are 3, 6, 7, 10, 11. It is going to be like Ali vs. Frazier, Bird vs. Magic, Nadal vs. Djokovic. Should be a classic match.

One footnote. USC's Elise Lee played for Northwestern last year when they beat Stanford. Her opponent in the final was Kelly Xu who won 1 up. Tomorrow, Elise Lee will once again be matched against Kelly Xu.

The first group starts at 2:25 pm pacific. Let's go, Card!!

Stanford has taken an early lead now that every pair has played at least a hole, leading by 1 hole in 3 matches, and tied in the other two.  Still a long road, but you would always prefer to be leading than trailing.

Stanford out to early leads in Matches 2 (Revuelta 2 up through the 4th hole), 3 (Ortengren 1 up through the 3rd) and 5 (Ganne 1 up through 1st). The other two matches are tied.
