Still continues to this day. Just looking at the 7 "Top Headlines" on the ESPN WBB front page right now, and two of them are about UConn.

#4 Indiana, missing the services of stalwart Grace Berger, goes down on the road to Michigan State despite 32 points from Mac Holmes.

Unranked Miami just took the lead over #5 Notre Dame at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Both #5 Notre Dame and #7 Virginia Tech down in the 4th quarter vs. unranked opponents. Welcome to conference play. Seems like very few scheduled tip top out of conference competition this year and perhaps it's showing.

Notre Dame barely pulls it out in the end.
Virginia Tech, however, goes down.
Now to watch our next 2 opponents, ASU vs Arizona.

How does Duke get 11 transfers admitted in one sport? Is Stanford the only school holding athletes to high academic standards or are all 11 of those transfers academic honors students?

Well, Stanford is the only top ranked school with key transfers. At any rate, another top 10 school went down tonight, to Duke with all those transfers, Duke winning 72-58. And it looks like Florida State may take down #13 North Carolina, up 72-68 with 43 seconds left.
Lots of upsets today, tho not ASU over Arizona. Arizona won big -- 84-66 - with big production from transfers.

Three major upsets in the ACC today, and Notre Dame came close, also in the ACC. And also Michigan State over Indiana in the Big 10. Welcome to conference play. This will shuffle up the projected 2 and 3 seeds pretty well.
ASU actually played 2 pretty good quarters, but got blown out in the other two. Arizona is a formidable opponent.

I didn't see this mentioned anywhere, but UCLA guard Dominique Onu, who started earlier in this season and was a top 30 recruit coming out of high school a few years ago has transferred to USC.

Good grief, I was not even aware that mid-year transfers were possible. Bad enough that they can pack up and leave after every single year, now even in the middle of a year?
I see she won't play until fall, does that mean that this year won't count against her eligibility? That players can test the waters for a half season, play in 6 games, and then go join another team?
I'm also finding it hard to understand how Gottlieb, who has never been more than a so-so coach, seems to have a certain draw. Or does Close have a certain push?

Utah beats WSU 71-66, game was tied with less than a minute to go. And WSU playing without Leger-Walker. Cougars played tough, came back from 20 points down. Can't overlook anyone in the Pac-12!

UCLA is going to present some serious challenges in our matchups. Watching them play the Ducks in Eugene and they are impressive. Their guard play is very good (Osborne, Rice), and they've shown full court defense thats been impressive all game. Oregon has turned the ball over way more than their average. They rebound like crazy and when hitting perimeter shots - look out. We are going to have our hands full.
Oregon State is losing to USC. Oregon State looks like a bottom tier Pac12 team which is crazy to say given their past success. USC could be a bubble team.

UCLA looks very strong @ Oregon. I am especially impressed with their defense. They played a pressure man defense and still managed to deny driving lanes. Oregon rarely got to drive on the basket. UCLA's offense was not consistent but plenty good enough. Kiki Rice makes Jones-like baskets in the paint and is hitting treys from outside.
Oregon is also depleted without a deep bench, but their offense just had no flow. Oregon played alternating zone or man depending on whether they made a basket, and neither looked great.
UCLA loses Charisma Osborne to a vicious collision, looks like a major whack to her shoulder or clavicle. Hope it is not as serious as it looked.

What impressed me about Utah was their surprising defense. They played a full court trapping press most of the game, and it really seemed to work. It slowed down WSU and also got Utah a few steals. I wasn't expecting that from them.
The WSU comeback was impressive. I did not catch why they were down Leger-Walker? Did the announcers say?

Leger-Walker flew home to New Zealand due to a family issue.

USC 6'4"
guard sophomore Rayah Marshall had 33 points, all from inside. She becomes a focus of defenses now.
