Stanford up over Bakersfield 12-4, B4, on broom day. Stanford batted around in the 1st and 4th. Rios has 6 RBI so far. And Graham  just got his 3rd H today.

He is. But he has a lot of company in that regard!

The top (and the very bottom) of Stanford's batting order looks good, with sprinkles of hope from the others. And the defense has been solid, other than our catchers not always catching pitches. But we need to start pounding the strike zone.

Of course, it is tough to tell what we have, as we have not yet faced tough competition. Not necessarily anyone's fault. [For example, I think the Bakersfield series is a "make up" from Covid cancellations.] But we don't really have a read yet on Stanford baseball. 

The same, I suppose, is true for softball. But 16 straight is a source of hope, as is six straight in baseball. And the new softball pitcher has me thinking "is there a chance we finally have that dominant arm in the circle?"

Maybe both the batters and pitchers only have two speeds: fast and stop.

To save some people a bit of work, gostanford.com only lists team records.  Look elsewhere.
