Despite their unexpected early exit from the tournament, Men's Tennis earns 50 Cup points for a 17th place finish. Their points replace 25 for Women's Field Hockey, bringing the unofficial total to 1,219.0.
The lowest currently scoring sport is now Wrestling with 40 Cup points.

Women's Tennis earns 100 Cup points for their amazing National Championship, bringing Stanford's unofficial total to 1,279.00 points. This includes 18 sports with the 19th spot reserved for Baseball.
The currently counted lowest scoring points are Women's Gymnastics with 46.5 and Men's Tennis with 50. Women's Golf will replace Gymnastics and Men's Golf will likely replace Men's Tennis, raising the unofficial total above 1,300 before Baseball. And there are still opportunities for Women's Rowing and both OTF teams.

And yet, a miracle run by UCLA could still exceed Stanford's total. It would need to be an epic run coupled with very little from baseball for Stanford, but it is possible.

Women's Rowing earns 77.5 Cup points for their fourth place finish (tied with UVA), bringing Stanford's unofficial total to 1,342.50 points. This includes 18 sports with the 19th spot reserved for Baseball.
Women's Rowing replaces the 50 points for Men's Tennis for a net gain of 27.5 points. The currently counted lowest scoring sport is Men's ITF with 51 points.

However, football is a required sport, no? Thus it cannot be replaced even if we score higher in another sport (same with baseball, should it score less than 55, it should still be counted).

It makes sense that football isn’t a mandatory counter. A third of D1 doesn’t play it.

More important than Stanford's finish in golf was UCLA's finish in golf. As they didn't win it becomes very unlikely they will get enough points to catch Stanford. Still theoretically possible, I suspect, but would require very strong finishes in M&W T&F and NCAA team titles in both softball and baseball. That's not really going to happen. Upsets happen in a lot of sports, but UCLA simply doesn't have the athletes to score big points in T&F.
I don't think any other school even has a theoretical chance as the other spring sport champions have generally not been schools routinely in the NACDA top 10 year to year.

Baseball earns 50 Cup points for their 17th place finish, bringing Stanford's unofficial total to 1,399.25 points for 19 sports.
The currently counted lowest "replaceable" scoring sports are Football with 55 points and Fencing with 57 points. Either OTF team can add to the Cup total with a finish of about 17th or better in the upcoming NCAA Championships.

Does every team that does not win in their regional finish in 17th place for the Cup, or do they distinguish between 1st 2nd, 3rd and 4th in each regional?
[Each regional does have a clear 1-2-3-4.]

The 3rd place finishers are given a T-33 designation, but also given 25 points.
The 2nd place finishers are given a T-17 designation, and given 50 points.
But at this point the Stanford has a lead and is essentially trading baskets with UCLA. Stanford will collect 50 points for baseball. UCLA will collect 50 points too. However, UCLA really needed a massive gain in baseball to have a chance to catch Stanford. Posting the same point tally in baseball is not good enough.
I suspect enough of the results are final to declare Stanford as the winner for the year as I don't believe any other program could get to 1400 even if they win every title that is still available to win. That likely will become clear on Thursday when the next batch of results is posted.

Perhaps you are wondering, "yes, but what about the Capital One Cup?"

This does include women's water polo. But does not include men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf, beach volleyball, rowing or men's and women's T&F, all of which are Group A sports which means the winner gets 20 points.
The current standings also do not include men's and women's lacrosse, baseball or softball which are Group B sports and worth 3x Group A sports. The winner gets 60 points, etc.
I think the Stanford women have an insurmountable lead. It's hard to estimate the current standings as BigEasyCard has done for the Director's Cup, because Capital One points are awarded often based on final polls, not championship results. Stanford will earn points in tennis, golf and rowing. UCLA will earn points in beach volleyball and softball. UCLA probably closes the gap some, but not completely.
The men's lead is more precarious because they have earned no points in tennis and golf. They may get 0 points for baseball. They could be passed by several schools depending on the baseball results. For example, Duke earned 36 points for being the lacrosse runner up and is still alive in baseball.
The Stanford women have won the Capital One Cup 4 times in its 7 years of existence, including last year.
The Stanford men won once, two years ago. The Ohio State men won last year.

Men's and Women's OTF close out the Director's Cup scoring for Stanford.
Men's OTF earns 69.75 points for their 8th place tie with LSU. And Women's OTF earns 85 points for finishing third! They replace Football's 55 points and Fencing's 57 points bringing Stanford's unofficial total to 1,442.00 points for 19 sports.
This compares very favorably to last year's total of 1,517.50 given that we have one fewer sport this year and also that the total this year includes 0 points for Men's Basketball.

The most recent update on the nacda site lists Stanford's score (without the Track and Field results) as 1589.25. Do you think that maybe their spreadsheet isn't taking into account the 19-sport limit?

Stanford's total has apparently not been adjusted for the limit of 19 scoring sports.
The next release is due out on June 14.

From my tracking spreadsheet, it appears that the NACDA June 7 total of 1,589.25 includes the Cup points for 24 sports. It does not include Baseball, Men's OTF, or Women's OTF. I have asked the NACDA for confirmation but have not received a reply.
Our unofficial total of 1,442.00 which I posted above includes the Cup points for the four required sports as well as the fifteen highest non-required sports. The Men earned 509.5 points across eight sports and the Women earned 932.5 across eleven sports.
