Since we're into wild speculation... Any chance that Leonard Warner could be this year's Demetris Robertson?

If Georgia and Stanford have both closed the door, LW could have gone ahead and committed to FSU this week. So why wait until NSD (or beyond?) unless he is still thinking that he might have a shot at Stanford admissions? Wishful thinking, I know.

He has submitted his application and is waiting to hear back.

FSU just lost one of their linebacker commits so they will presumably be going after Warner with more intensity.

I'm not sure if he said it, but I read a report that said he had told coaches that he could make his decision as soon as today (when he gets back from his UT official).  Not sure I ever saw something definitive on timing, but more of a heads up that it might happen today.

Ah, gotcha.  247 had previously reported it as happening yesterday and today, but his Twitter feed is pretty conclusive on that score.  I doubt we'll hear anything before Signing Day this coming Wednesday, then.

I would imagine having Texas enter the picture can only help Stanford, because Stanford admission would seem to be the biggest differentiator on which to decide, and it would demonstrate he isn't completely sold on Auburn.

Despite Stanford's and Auburn's best efforts, he's still looking for the magic feeling of having a great football experience and right fit...and despite its recent dive, Texas seems to know how to bend recruits' minds into some sort of happy-drug state.

I think in the end he comes to Stanford.  Predicting a lot of those Auburn "Crystal Ball" predictions start flipping to us at the last minute.

While you are, of course, right BC, I still think it's significant when someone like Simmons predicts Stanford while RJ is in the middle of an official visit to Texas.
