When nobody can fail and everyone is a winner, you're going to get significant grade inflation. Teachers can get pilloried by parents for giving anything less than a C, even if a student absolutely earns an F.Â

How fast did you run the 40?

The crystal ball shows a couple of new predictions that Speights will pick Stanford. I think this article may have had something to do with that:

The statement in the article that Speights is one of only 2 RBs with the grades to attend Stanford is interesting. I would have to assume that Bisharat is the other because he's already committed, but this info on Stephens' grades at least seems to put him in the ballpark:

Great find on the articles, TrumpCard. I really hope we land Speights. He consistently runs through tackles or is breaking tackles; exactly the kind of running back we love...has great vision, too.

Robertson still lists Stanford first when he gives his top 5. That's encouraging.Â

Now Shaw needs to nail down that visit and make sure Robertson knows all the little things he needs to do to earn admission to Stanford.

Nice article with the info on Speights. But I'm taking the statement that Speights is one of only two RBs with the grades for Stanford with a grain of salt. What is the source for such a statement? Coaches can't say anything. I suppose a coach might have said something to Speights such as "you are one of only two who we can extend an offer to." If that's the case, great. But until Speights is actually admitted (and Bisharat, or any recruit for that matter), I'm reserving judgement.
Still, Speights would be a great pick up, if he gets through admissions and accepts the offer.
I think Bisharat is balanced on the cusp re: admissions - Redrum - 08-14-2015
Not a prediction, just my memory of the reports on his academics. I hope he's working his ass off to make it off the cusp and to the safe side.

Speights was the leading rusher in Texas last season and was the second leading rusher his sophomore year. Impressive!

Schaffer is one that I really want to see at Stanford. He's got a tremendous frame and the ability to add a lot of good weight. Check out this video. The running start isn't typical, but the video is still impressive.

Might it be more typical for this type of plyometric exercise? (which isn't the traditional vert jump)

Richard Sherman effect? Duane Akina effect? The general rise of Stanford football? Whatever it is, I like it.
