Merete Lutz has had a strong match so far, with 8 kills and a .538 hitting percentage. Stanford trailing 15-12 in the second set. Florida's attacking opportunities have been pretty clean so far.

Card go on a mini run to tie second set at 16-16. Forces a Florida timeout. Stanford benefitting from poor passing from Gators.

Really ugly sequence of unforced errors leads to a 6-0 Florida run. Florida leads 22-18 in second set.

Set two lost 25-21. Tough night for the Cardinal. No one seems to have it.

6-0 run, forcing both Stanford timeouts, too much to overcome. Stanford drops second set 25-21 to fall into an 0-2 hole. I can't remember the last time I saw this team look this out of sorts. Florida causing some problems, but some have also been self-inflicted mistakes.

Well, down 2 sets to none at the break. We've dug ourselves a DEEP hole. Good back row D from Florida complements their tall front line and Stanford hasn't figured this out.

One gaffe toward the end of the second set where the ball was just allowed to drop--reminds me of those plays in the outfield when each person thinks the other is going to get it. It did look like a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes. Not a good time to have a down night.

Three straight hitting errors from Florida caps 5-0 Stanford run, forcing a timeout. Given how things have gone tonight, we will take it.

Stanford finally hitting its groove offensively (hitting .450 in Set #3), while the Florida hitting has gone into a tailspin (hitting .059 in third set). Card lead 16-10.

Feels like our team has bee uncharacteristically tight/nervous. Especially Fitzmorris, playing in front of family and friends.

Stanford needs to keep feeding Lutz. The redshirt senior is hitting almost .600, as Card one point away from closing the gap to 1.

Lutz wins the last three points, as Stanford rolls to a comfortable 25-18 Set #3 win. Stanford has had 14 attacking errors, seven service errors, six receiving errors and 3 blocking errors. No receiving or blocking errors for Florida. Is erasing an otherwise .296 to .250 attacking advantage for Cardinal.

Coach Hambly said he wanted us to be aggressive on the serve, but at some point, no aces and 8 service errors is tough. Particularly when Florida is really struggling to put up anything offensively.
