Utah goes for bowl eligibility tomorow vs WSU.

WSU has a bye the following week so two weeks to prepare for the Apple Cup.

Wilner picks Utah to win outright.  :)

Sure 'nuff. Not a big fan, but credit where credit is due. He picked 10 straight correctly. That's nothing short of amazing. IIRC, he picked us in our next two games as well. I'm good with that.

Re: Stanford - UW game thread - magnus - 11-11-2017

I haven't watched every game nor am I a football expert but it seems like one big difference (other than talent) between Love and our other RBs is what they do when the approach the pile.

Love hits the pile with his head up, enabling him to see any last second holes

Speights/Scarlett hit the pile with their head down (or their just doubled over trying to protect the ball) aiming at whatever crease they saw initially, but missing any of the last second holes.

Is that something that changes with experience?

Re: Stanford - UW game thread - TRD - 11-11-2017

I am absolutely shocked. Where in the hell did that come from?!?!  Starting with the first possession (even though it stalled at mid-field) they mixed it up. That was surprising already. Putting up 30 pts against the #1 FBS defense by yardage was absolutely shocking.

If Shaw stays with mixing up the play calling on offense, like last night, I don't see how they lose to KAL or Votre Dame.

To think they could have easily won last week and against SDSU, this team could have been 9-1. Like seriously!>!>!

On to Oakland for a 'W' !!

Is Stanford going to get fined for the students storming the field?

I missed it (living an hour away is brutal with these 7:30 kickoffs), but supposedly we waited the 60 seconds, so maybe not? I'm not totally sure how that works.

You've got to see this.  Post-game inspirational video put out by Stanford Athletics.  Ends with Okereke leading the "C-House" chant in the locker room celebration.  (Freddy Mercury is turning in his grave with that version of "We Will Rock You.")

On FS1, the "experts" were talking about what a great game Gaskin was having and what a horrible game Love was having.  Bryce turned that on its head.
