Who's going to Omaha? I will be there to cheer us on to victory. What a wild series with Texas this was..hope we can regroup and play better Saturday.

Texas lost in heartbreaking fashion - I feel for their players. Really wondering what happened to Bruno. Felt like it was pitching malpractice to take out Pancer at that point in the game
Glad the team is moving on. Unfortunately, I still don't think they have pitching depth to go far as Quinn and Joey can't pitch 6 games between them in short order. Hope they prove me wrong.

What is that cord that goes around the outfield? And how is it allowed to be over the field?
The ball Rios hit went behind that cord, which is pretty high up on the foul pole. I thought the ball changed direction after going over that cord and thought the replay view would show it was a HR.
As for the ending, it kind of makes up for the absurd 5 run 9th Texas had in Game 1. But man, I really felt bad for those Longhorns who couldn’t find the ball.

Yep. We literally gave them game 1 in the 9th. They gave us game 3 in the 9th. We won an epic game 2. No regrets at all. Stanford is not a dominant team and has some real issues with pitching and base running but Stanford won this series and deserves to move on.

There used to be this baseball team called the Bears. They were really bad at the start of the season. But their manager coached them up and taught them the fundamentals. They were also able to pick up some talent at pitcher, centerfield and at the plate. By the end of the season, they were contending for the championship. So I've seen it done.

Sometimes you gotta take what's given to you. The team thought they had it after Rios hit the double...of course they'd go nuts for a dropped fly ball (!!!) to win it. Super happy for the team.
Not sure how they're going to fare vs. Wake Forest, but I think they're up to the challenge.

Hopefully the Bruno resets and he gets to showcase his talent. The bats need to wake up. Dixon and Mathews need to continue to pitch excellent like they did this weekend.

Maybe. Got tix and a car. But this team makes me crazy. Not sure I have enough sedatives to survive CWS.
But the baseball deities seem to love this team. Would bet a few bucks they win it all.

I went last year and I don't want to be disappointed like that again. 0-2 and they really didn't put up much of a fight. Terrible in all aspects of the game. If they can make it past Wake Forest and win their bracket, then of course they can win the whole thing, and I be willing to pay a ton for next day airfare and hotel But that's a big "if". Plus, Omaha in the summer is, well, not California.

But we have one brobdingnagian advantage. The baseball deities love our team. But they love it in ways that drive the fans nuts. Never have I seen a team do so well while making so many bonehead mistakes. I have all the reservations in place for Omaha but I might not go. The way these guys play makes me nuts. Also a recent wrist injury may be a problem.

Why do you hate 85 F, 65% humidity, and the constant threat of (a) being struck by lightning or (b) being sucked up in a funnel cloud and transported to Oz?
