I'm going out with a bang.

Stanford ==> 50
Maryland ==>  Goose Egg

Wouldn't it be chicken egg?

A turtle's egg would be apt.

Stanford 62
Maryland 14

Underappreciated 38
Under Armour Acolytes 13

So many touchdowns in the first half, this one's never a close game. Maryland does get some garbage time points.

Today is Mrs. Buddha's birthday, so I will miss the game....happy wife= happy life. I will Tivo it, but am not against 2 for 28 sending me updates via text or FB. I have no reason for my score prediction other than I feel the seniors will come into this game angry at how the season went.

Stanford 41
MD 13

Geaux Cardinal!

Re: Stanford vs Maryland prediction thread - Massasoit - 12-30-2014

Stanford 31, Maryland 17

I have no basis for this prediction.

Re: Stanford vs Maryland prediction thread - Rally - 12-30-2014

Stanford 41
Maryland 6

Just for the hell of it.

Not bad Ferrari!

Re: Stanford vs Maryland prediction thread - 82 Card - 12-31-2014

Given that we knew very little about the opponent, the predicitons were pretty good.

Unless I missed something, it looks like we have a tie between GoodGrief, who predicted 42-13, and 2 for 2028, who predicted 38-17. Both had 11 points total error. Not sure what the tie breaker would be.

Renaissance Man nailed the Stanford score with a prediction of 45-7.

If not for garbage time scores and the kickoff return, you'd be golden on that prediction.    Should have been 45 - 7.
Fine, but you still haven't told me which of those teams you would classify as "horrible".
Let me put it this way. If you are giving 3-4 TD's, I'm taking FSU.
As I'm sure you recall, Oregon destroyed some teams that we just squeaked by (or lost to) in 2012. Who won the game when we played them?

Well, first, I never actually said that I was giving them 4 TDs, I said that I wouldn't be surprised if Oregon won by 4 TDs, that's a pretty large difference. Second, NC State is horrible, the rest of them are merely pretty bad (OMG, HYPERBOLE, YOU GOT ME).

Also, I'm starting to think you just didn't read what I wrote. I said that barring some kind of craziness I don't see how FSU keeps it close. It's basically exactly the same as our game in 2012. If we play Oregon 10 times they win 7 or 8, and I don't think anyone here really doubts that. We played crazy well that game in a way that's not always reproducible. FSU could do that and pull off the upset, being a 9 point dog means you win 20-25% of the time. But by the same token, about as often as that the favorite wins big.
NC State was 7-5 this year. Does that make them horrible? Well, you tell me. Anyway, I would just be curious to know how many points you would be willing to give up and still take the Ducks.
Guess I should've given you those TDs. FSU was exactly as bad as I thought and collapsed once they played a real team, just like I expected. Still want to know why you care, though.
