Pete Rozelle was GM after he had been the PR guy. SID at USF where Matson played. Matson won the medals. Richter ran Ontario Speedway I believe. Perhaps the greatest PCC linebacker all time.

What All American lineman played both ways for the Dallas Texans/KC Chiefs?

The original "Prince Hal" was Hal Chase, former Los Gatos resident, former baseball player at Santa Clara U. from 1902 to 1904 where his coach was Joe Corbett, brother of Gentleman Jim Corbett. Corbbett taught Chase to box as well.  Supposedly one of the best fielding first basemen ever.  Also an inveterate gambler, who likely threw many, many games.

EJ Holub played both MLB and center for the Dallas Texans when the AFL played its first year.

Lamar Hunt story. I was with Barry Tompkins for an NBC Grandstand (host Len Berman if anybody remembers) interview with Mr.Hunt. Great guy. He was wearing a beautiful navy sports coat and Barry remarked about it after the interview. Hunt chuckled and said that he always bought quality but was frugal. He said that the jacket was at least 25 years old.

We were flying on to Denver or Salt Lake and I took my first class seat (film union contract). Later I got up to use the head but there was some trouble with our latrine. So I entered the coach cabin and in about the tenth row was Hunt sitting in a window seat. Here was a multi billionaire (oil) frugally ensconced with the common folk. A very nice man.

When I worked at the Big Four as a director, they  didn't pay us much, but they let us travel first class.  I remember flying British Airways which had seven (7) classes on this particular plane, and I was in the first class, where your seat turns into a bed.  My boss and his girlfriend/secretary were in the same section.  The price of the ticket amounted to just over 5% of my annual salary.

One of my peers was based in Dallas but reported to a man in London and he spent 100 nights a year or so in that city.  He negotiated a deal with his boss in which he would fly coach, but the firm would rent a flat on Savile Row for him.  Seemed like a fair trade.

Otto Graham (assuming the NBL counts as the NBA), he also played some QB in the NFL which got him in the HoF, not his performance as the Washington head coach.

Yep.  Speaking of which, there are 13 that played both in the NBA and MLB.  I got 3.  (4 counting Connors). Not good.  So, who are the 13?
