Here is Juliette's race cued to the right time. She's in lane 2 wearing black. Always fascinated to see an elite mid-D runner with such a "shuffling" stride (low heel kick, low knee drive). It's rare.

It is extremely rare for American HS students to go pro in T&F. And even if she is a "pro," generally she can still run for Stanford with NIL in place.

I was half-joking, and of course it's rare. But it's also rare for a HS student to already be a threat to make an Olympic/WC team. Recent-ish pros straight from HS off the top of my head: Mary Cain, Ajee Wilson, Drew Hunter, Alexa Efraimson, and just last year Hobbs Kessler. I'm probably forgetting a few. Wouldn't surprise me if Colin Sahlman went pro. If Juliette or Roisin were inclined to pursue that route, it's viable.

That would signify that no one is running inside their assigned lane and/or cut in too early after the first turn.

But some officials were still raising white flags on the second lap, when assigned lanes weren't a thing anymore.

Except it's not really a record. It's a record for HS girls running in HS meets. Our own HS recruit Whittaker ran under 2 minutes - see earlier in this thread.
