This is probably going more than three sets.  Stanford, you let a team like OSU back in the match and it can be trouble.

Switching sides Stanford players do not look like happy campers.  Hopefully they come out in set four with motivation and focus.

Stanford starts out set four on fire.  TO OSU.  Kipp has had some beautiful kills straight down the line.

This match is going to set a record for challenges. OSU loses challenge. I think they are now out of challenges unless a set five.

The traffic circle at Campus Drive and Serra was partially blocked by a service vehicle when I was trying to leave.  Anyone know what happened? 
Wondered if there was an accident or something.

No idea today.  But it took 10 minutes to get thru 2 traffic circles (10 minutes after the game started) a couple of days ago.

I think I wrote before of the less than optimal lighting on pedestrians approaching the crosswalks at these circles. It makes it harder for drivers to see them than it needs to be.  I sure hope someone didn’t get hurt. 

When Mythbusters showed traffic circles were faster, it was in daylight, without pedestrians or bicyclists or scooters or skateboards. 

Between the circles and the 15-minute delay per floor getting out of the garage, I think I’m going to revert to coming from El Camino and parking by the stadium. I had a quick exit today.

The best part of this match was seeing the MBers getting half the kills in the first 2 sets.  You could see the OSU defense coming late to the pins as their middle was waiting to see if the set went to our MBer.  Hopefully, we keep this focus for the rest of the regular season so our tourney opponents worry about getting beat to the middle.  And Vicini and Francis were great defensively too.  I was hoping Vicini would get a double-double with double digits in blocks (she had 10) and kills (ended with 8, but had 5 in the first set alone).  Francis had 8 kills on her first 8 attempts before going 9-12 w/ an error.  I like it when our combined middles lead the team in kills (17).

Wish we didn't let down in set 3, but put OSU away quickly in set 4.

I think we'll be ranked 3rd behind Nebraska and Wisconsin.  All that matters is we stay in the top 4.  That's a certainty if we win out.  If we lose to USC or UCLA, I think it might be touch to hold on to a #1 seed.

Our competition for a regional top seed is: Louisville, Pitt, Oregon & Texas.  We have the head to head over three of those.  We are also likely to win the best conference.  My guess is even with a surprise loss we sneak in with a top seed.

All of the selection committees tend to be very RPI driven and we sit at #2. I don’t think one loss drops us too far; so I expect you are correct and that we are likely a 1 seed regardless.
