More results from the Eugene regional of The Opening:
http://247sports.com/Bolt/Three-Opening-Invites-Extended-at-Eugene-Regional-37762977

Quick summary:
3 total invitations to The Opening, two of those were to potential Stanford prospects who have not worked out (Connor Murphy and Vavae Malepeai).  Those two and Elijah Molden were position MVPs.  Although Fehoko had the impressive SPARQ results, he did not win the position MVP.

Edit:  A more in-depth summary on Scout:
http://www.scout.com/college/football/recruiting/story/1555230-three-get-open-in-eugene

Nice comments about Fehoko, as well as Stanford target Lamar Winston (who Scout says was the next in line for an offer to The Opening).

Probably time to offer Connor Murphy - Redrum - 06-15-2015

Seems to be blowing up at the summer camps.  Looks to be headed from the "Good" to " Very Good" by the end of these summer camps and possibly "Beast" by the end of the HS career.  And if the patented Late Murphy Family Growth Spurt really is a dependable Murphy family trait, we should be on him, not watching him join our P12 rivals.

Others have said the academics aren't there.

Murphy's academics may be questionable, but he does have an offer. Shaw and staff must think that he could be admitted. He is at the very least on the bubble. Further, I doubt that anyone here has access to his grades and test scores. And, I know that no one here knows precisely what it takes to get admitted. Why are we even discussing this?

That assumption may not be correct.

The first assumption or the second assumption?

Re: Class of 2016 - PrinceLightfoot - 06-15-2015

Connor did claim an offer from Stanford last summer, but not a peep concerning the offer from any recruiting service afterwards. Very odd.

Perhaps he is just playing things very close to the vest. In regards to recruiting in general, several who post here have more information and are only able to hint on what they know per request of their sources.

I believe Hulk has some inside information and I really appreciate what he shares. I am not aware of anyone else though.

You know the old saw... those who know aren't talking and (most of) those who talk don't know.

Re: Class of 2016 - TrumpCard - 06-16-2015

Winston got one of the last invitations to The Opening Finals.  Among Stanford's commits, Costello, Smith and Robinson have invitations to The Opening Finals or the Elite 11.  Among Stanford's targets, invitations have also gone to Long, Robertson, Crawford, McCulloch, Jones, Kelly, Fuller, and Eboh.

Wonder who picks up the tab at Fleming's? Place is not cheap. Get four or five hungry football players and you could run up some serious numbers.

Does anyone know whether Trevor Speights made it out for Stanford's junior day as planned?

Love it! Looks like the bookends on the OL will be covered. OG situation still unclear.

Video interview with Lamar Winston. Towards the end basically names Stanford the leader with UCLA and Oregon battling it out for #2 slot.
