Sounds like he had an OK game by his standards though.

Not a great game for Mills, but his stats were still pretty good. We'll give him a pass after his 5 TD effort last week.

Re: Class of 2017 - slide - 12-03-2016

watched the game.  Mills basically took what the D gave him.  he showed a little more wiggle running than I expected.

highlights of the night were the highlights from the previous game.  a few of his TD throws were in very tight windows where only his receivers could get at them.

Some updates from Rivals:

Davis Mills now the #4 overall prospect on Rivals, still one spot below #3 Foster Sarell.  That makes him now the #1 QB.

Ryan Johnson, 4-star, #7 DE on Rivals form Mobile, AL, is completing his Stanford application and planning to visit in January. Would be quite the coup to pull him away from Auburn and Alabama, but he seems quite high on Stanford.

Here's a link to an April 2016 article on Ryan Johnson: http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2016/04/st_pauls_four-star_de_ryan_joh.html

Sounds like he's strong academically and really values a quality education.  I like our chances.

Geaux Cardinal!

Anyone want to try to read the tea leaves on this one? I'm hoping it means he favors Stanford because if it were Texas he would take more time to get to know the new coaching staff.

Count me as an optimist!

Re: Class of 2017 - Bruce Wang - 12-09-2016

I like our chances with Little.  Tom Herman makes me more nervous here.  I watched his handiwork at Ohio State.  He's a great recruiter and has made Texas a more credible contender for a national championship.

Yeah, that's the glass is half empty interpretation. Walker met Herman, was totally blown away by him and said now I really know where I want to go.

Can you clarify whether that is what happened, or that is your glass half empty scenario of what could have happened.

Also, wasn't Little also looking at some SEC programs?

Tea leaves:
-Walker's mom Sara is a big Twitter user
-Stanford in-home visit pic, dad wearing Stanford gear (within past week)
-Texas in-home visit pic, dad wearing neutral/non-Texas clothes (within past week)
-She has fairly frequently re-tweeted non-Walker, Stanford related items (rarely if ever re-tweeting non-Walker, UT related items). Three examples, re-tweeting about CMac declaring for the draft, re-tweeting about Stanford being ranked by the CFP committee and re-tweeting about A.T. Hall visiting in 2005 and choosing Stanford

I choose to ignore any and all evidence pointing towards UT. :D

Connor Wedington Decommits From UW - Red State - 12-09-2016

Looks very good for Stanford.

Re: Connor Wedington Decommits From UW - BobK - 12-09-2016

Better than just very good 😜

Re: Connor Wedington Decommits From UW - bbm233 - 12-09-2016

Foster Sarell is on his official to UW this weekend. Supposedly a two horse race.

Wedington clearly got good admissions news from Stanford.

"I have recently been provided an opportunity that was too hard to pass up."

I wonder what that could be?

Re: Connor Wedington Decommits From UW - yvonne - 12-10-2016

Stanford sent early decision notices this week.

Re: Connor Wedington Decommits From UW - JohnR34231 - 12-10-2016

Great news. Hope Sarell is of the same mindset.

Interesting to read some of the comments from Husky fans. One was suggesting that Stanford has easier academic requirements than Washington does, another was suggesting Washington had asked Conor to grayshirt because they thought they were going to get bigger fish. One did say that while he was a Husky fan, he wouldn't pass up a chance to go to Stanford either.

Re: Class of 2017 - donkey687 - 12-10-2016

It looks like we are getting a highly rated running back who just decommitted from the UW Huskies (based on what he said in his decommittment tweet about education opportunity opening up and him simultaneously following 5 Stanford contacts on the same day) . Top 100 player nationally according to Scout. Connor Wedingtion. Given our lack of RB depth, we need him!  Perhaps the CMAC news this week, opened up a spot.
